Responsible for the development of an in-house service provider access method for smaller clients which only require access to a Web hosted database. Installed and configured three different Web servers (NT 4.0 using IIS 2.0, Unix AIX using CERN, and SCO OpenServer 5 using Apache). Each web server was configured to provide Internet access to public library Online Public Access Catalogs (OPACs) using HTML forms and executing CGI applications written in C to perform the database search.

Developed prototype Explorer-like application to browse remote database systems using a Windows front end. This was a Visual C++/MFC document/view application used to navigate through the nested-relational structure of the database.

Responsible for Unix server configuration and administration. Supported local and remote systems. Configured Unidata database system.
